Goal: Design 2 adaptors and shaft extensions to allow the installation of a Globe RM210 brake between the 56C motor and gear reducer.

Factors: A brake was needed in the application, and the desired install location was between the motor and gear reducer. Space constraints dictated that the assembly needed to remain as small as possible.

How we did it: We utilized an adaptor plate and a short adaptor to mount the brake to both the reducer and the motor. Shaft extensions were used to minimize overall assembly length, as well as add to ease of assembly.
