Goal: Design a BSF Adaptor that is sealed to prevent fluids from getting inside the adaptor where the coupling and shafts are rotating. This allows for use of shallow tanks with the adaptor partially submerged in the fluid.

Factors: This adaptor is a vertical mount for mounting the motor end flange to the tank top. Threaded holes with sealed plugs are used to allow for easy access to coupling set screws for installation and removal.

How we did it: We designed the BSF Adaptor to be oil tight with the following features:

• oil tight welds
• blind tapped pump mounting holes
• o-ring seal around pump pilot
• threaded hole with sealed plug
